Toshiba has now announced that it will recall 340,000 batteries for its notebooks as the batteries can simply die after that the charging function has stopped working. The batteries were made by Sony which has had some very tough setbacks with its notebook batteries. Dell and Apple has together recalled over 6 million (!) batteries and the problem these batteries had were a lot more serious as they could cause the computer to more or less explode. The problem with Toshiba’s batteries are not related to those of Dell and Apple’s, but the question is if this is good new or bad news to Sony. Exactly how many errors can you make when you manufacture batteries?
