In the beginning of the decade both Abit and EPoX were two of the leading enthusiast motherboard manufacturers. Even if they were relatively small they had plenty of motherboards that were well received, especially among overclockers. Alas both of them have passed on, but EPoX has lived on as SUPoX, founded back in 2007. The company has remained silent up until now that information and pictures of a P55-based SUPoX motherboard has appeared, showing some spirit from the old glory days.

SUPoX AP55+ GTR supports Intel’s new Lynnfield/Havendale processors expected to launch as the Core i5 family later this year. With Intel’s P55 chipset as the heart the motherboard offers several video outputs, for Havendale and its integrated graphics processor, three PCI-Express x16 slots and four DDR3 memory slots.

The motherboard not only supports Gigabit Ethernet, but there is also WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 for networking.

The price tag will be revealed when the board arrives in the third quarter.
