Santa Rosa will become the new Intel Centrino platform and even if we’re still waiting for the official launch of Intel’s new mobile platform we’ve already stumbled upon some very interesting information. Details of Sony’s coming summer lineup have leaked and been published at Engadget. Sony will be focusing on the Santa Rosa platform but also Microsoft’s Windows Vista operating system. All of the Santa Rosa laptops with Windows Vista will have at least 2GB RAM. There is information about several new laptops in the product catalog and among them the ultraportable TZ series.



Sony’s TZ models will sport an 11.1″ display and offers a battery time up to a whopping 9 hours. Under the hood we can see an Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 processor. Sony’s new laptops is based on the Santa Rosa platform is expected to appear in stores in July and to be honest we’re a bit scared of what this beauty might cost.
