The browser war is speeding up even though several of the companies just made big announcements. Mozilla was showered with praise for Firefox, but is already in the testing stages for the next update. In a week or so Firefox 5 will go into beta with the sight set for a sharp release on June 21s.

Mozilla suffered from delays in the development of Firefox 4, but it has shifted gears for the remainder of the year where Firefox 5 will be completed a lot faster since the development time has overlapped with Firefox 4.

Firefox 5 will get a further polished user interface with a new tab page with a function to choose multiple tabs. Other news is said to include an integrated PDF reader, social network integration and support for quick menues with separate tabs where the contents and links can be controlled by the site developers.

Mozilla has no plans to rest after the launch of Firefox 5, during the year the company is planning to roll out two more full versions of Firefox. Firefox 6 is slated to launch on August 18th and Firefox 7 will appear before the end of the year.

Google is the only company to threaten Mozilla in teams of development speed and even if Internet Explorer 9 was great leap forward for Microsoft it is still moving very slow compared to the competition.
