Seagate 7200.9 500GB tested

Seagate has as we earlier reported launched a new series of harddrives called 7200.9 and the flagship of this series is without a doubt the beafy 500GB model. At Anandtech they’ve now published a test with this harddrive and considering its impressive specifications the expactations was set pretty high. Seagate’s 500GB harddrive does show some good intentions, but in most cases the performance isn’t all that impressive. But in the category of what you generally expect from a hardrive. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem that Seagate has managed to keep its promises with less noise with the 7200.9-series as this one seems to be just as ”loud” is the last series by Seagate.
