Sapphire has launched a new Radeon HD 4890 card that brings a couple of news on top of the reference card. First of all, Sapphire has chosen to use its Vapor-X cooler, seen before with other HD 4890 cards from Sapphire. Besides that Sapphire has equipped the graphics card with double the buffer, 2GB compared to 1GB with the reference. To top it all of it has also tweaked the clock frequencies a bit.

Sapphire Radeon HD 4890 Vapor-X 2GB ships with 870MHz GPU clock and memory circuits shoveling data at 4200MHz, which is slightly higher than AMD specifies for the reference design (850/3900MHz), but far from the fastest HD4890 models available.

The hardware news aside Sapphire has also gone with supporting a whole bunch of display technologies. The card comes with D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. The card will be in stock any day now.
