Sony has been consequently denying all rumors of a PlayStation Portable phone, (PSPP?). James Sherwood over at Register has found a ”new” patent submitted by Sony Ericsson, which indeed looks like something of a PSP Phone. Basically, it’s a single large touch screen, which when turned horizontally will convert into a PSP lookalike. Several other operating modes are mentioned, such as Media Player, Web Browser and Phone Mode, except from the Game Mode.
The patent doesn’t say anything about if you will be able to load actual PSP games with the phone, but we can only assume that Sony will at least stick to using Memory Stick.
