Philips latest laptop creation is called X200 and if you just look at the components it may look like just any laptop. Philips has based the new laptop on the Centrino Duo Mobile platform and equipped the computer with a Core 2 Duo U2500 working at 1.73GHz, 100GB of harddrive space and 1GB RAM together with Intel’s integrated graphics circuit GMA950 powering the 12.1″ widescreen display. And that is what makes Philips X200 stand out; the display. Philips has taken advantage of the fact that many are using their laptops at many different locations and in many different ways. Often it can be a real burden finding a good viewing angle when the space or position is far from optimal.

Philips has therefore equipped the X200 with a display that can be adjusted in both height and angle. We’ve seen similar designs from other manufacturers, but so far none of these have reach the market. Philips X200 is available in stores today costing about 1,700 USD.
