ABIT IN9 32 MAX is as you may know the latest addition to the family of motherboards based on the nForce 680i SLI chipset, and just a few days ago our overclocking expert and editor Robert ”Crotale” Kihlberg got hold of a sample himself. Robert has created something of a overclocking blog in the forums, where he has uploaded wads of images, not to mention overclocking results and interesting performance tests. ABIT is marketing the IN9 32X MAX as a real die-hard overclocker’s motherboard, and who fits better for a testing job of that kind of job than Crotale? After just a few days tests he has reached past 530MHz FSB with a Core 2 Extreme X6800 CPU, and all this on air.

A very impressive result for a motherboard with no modifications done whatsoever and the first impression is that ABIT has a great motherboard in the IN9. With pretty much everything else said, we just want to clarify it’s no real review of the card, although there is a whole lot of interesting information that can be found, in Crotale’s thread in the forums, which is updated as he scores new results.
