Storage expert LaCie has presented a new external drive with Superspeed USB 3.0 for lots of storage and good performance. With room for two harddrives in RAID LaCie 2big will reach transfer speeds up to 205 MB/s with 4TB capacity.
LaCie 2big RAID Drive comes in the classic aluminum case with a light blue LaCie logo for an exclusive touch. The unit measures 93 x 200 x 183 mm and weighs 3.6kg. With two 3.5″ harddrives installed that can be configured in RAID 0, 1 or JBOD.
LaCie sells the unit with 2TB or 4TB capacity and prices start around 370€. That includes software for doing backups from Windows PCs and Mac computers.
