Infrant 1TB ReadyNAS NV is an external storage station/file server that you connect to a network and without configuration will become a storage unit in the network. This is one step up from the external USB/Firewire harddrives that are getting more common and NAS (Network Attached Storage) as well, not that hard to understand as the need for more storage is gowing constantly. We have earlier reported about Buffalo TerraStation, but at Anantech they’ve taken a closer look at a unit from Infrant that is a little better equipped for company networks where security and stability is extra important.
Except for nice nice features for PC networks Infrant’s ReadyNAS series has support for UPnP making it possible to stream music, video and images to home electronics connected to the device. A serious file server for those who are looking for one.
