NVIDIA and GeForce GTX 480 have been harshly criticized for its power consumption and heat development. And it is well deserved since NVIDIA’s latest graphics circuit is the hottest graphics we have ever encountered, but in a completely unscientific test it turns out it is not hot enough to cook eggs with.

During a test to investigate the power consumption problems when using two monitors with GeForce GTX 480 Legit Review decided to perform a now classic test, to attempt to fry an egg on the cooler of the graphics card.

GeForce GTX 480 and its cooler managed to get out alive and even if the card was hot enough to cause burns and sores it wasn’t hot enough to fry an egg.

The more serious part of the test shows that NVIDIA seems to be working on a solution to the ridiculously high power consumption when using two monitors and hopefully this will be corrected with a BIOS update before all too many can buy the cards.
