HTPCs doesn’t need extreme graphics performance, but an efficient graphics circuit with good video functionality can make wonders. ASUS knows this and has launched a new HTPC graphics card based on NVIDIA’s 40 nanometer GeForce GT 220 GPU. ASUS Bravo220 ships with nothing but passive cooling for keeping the core cool but most importantly quiet.

ASUS Bravo220 ships with 525MHz GPU clock frequency, 128-bit memory interface and 1GB DDR2 RAM clocked at 800MHz. The card is set for video playback with HDMI, DVI and D-Sub outputs.

The card supports Splendid Plus that uses a bundled light sensor that automatically adjusts the properties of the screen after the light in your room. All for optimal image quality no matter the situation.

Unfortunately the card requires two expansion slots, which could be a problem for some users, but with a price tag around $90 it might be worth a look.
