AOpen EZ482 is a so called Small Form Factor barebone, which is simply a smaller version of a regular-sized computer, but still containing all the latest components. AOpen is one of the manufacturers that has adopted to the SFF trend and its XC Cube series contains a lot of models for various platforms. EZ482 is one of the members of the XC Cube family and like the Shuttle SN25P we reviewed earlier it is a barebone for AMD’s Socket 939 platform. There are a lot of things separating the two though, not just that AOpen has chosen a different design for the chassis, altohugh similar measurements, but also that AOpen has chosen to build around ATI’s RS482 chipset where Shuttle had chosen NVIDIA’s nForce 4 chipset. We’ve taken a closer look at how AOpen EZ482 performs and stands up to the competition in our latest review.

Because the EZ482 has an integrated graphics card, it is very well suited for office work or as an entry level computer, where a more powerful graphics card, to handle the more demanding games, will be a later purchase.
