Zotac showcases two new models of the GeForce GTX 680

ZOTAC showcases two new models in their Geforce 680 series, the GTX 680 OC 4 GB Edition with twice the memory as the reference design, and the GTX 680 AMP! with improved cooling and highly increased clock frequencies.

ZOTAC is one of NVIDIA’s exclusive partners, and it is now ready to show their own models of the graphics card giant’s most recent flag ship, the GeForce GTX 680. It revolves around no less than two cards, one which is overclocked and has it’s own cooler, while the other keep NVIDIA’s reference design but has increased memory capacity, totaling 4 GB.

ZOTAC make sure to ease the demand from overclockers with their latest model in the GTX 680 series, the Zotac GTX 680 AMP!. The card uses a cooling solution which occupies three PCI slots with a big steam chamber with four heatpipes to transport the heat.  The card is cooled by two 90mm PWM controlled fans, and comes as we mentioned earlier with highly increased clock frequencies in both the base frequency and GPU Boost.

ZOTAC GTX 680 OC 4 GB Editon uses NVIDIA’s reference design, but ZOTAC has increased the memory capacity from 2 GB to a total of 4 GB, which can be useful for 3D Vision Surround or similar solutions with really high resolutions. The card comes with the same frequency as the reference card, which we find pretty amusing considering that the card actually has ”OC” in its product name.

Common to both cards is that they use the same set of connections with two Dual link DVI, one HDMI and one DisplayPort. Both cards should also include a gamer package with Assassin’s Creed 1-3.
