Windows XP will still have support from Microsoft, although only with Service Pack 2, for some time. When we first heard of Service Pack 3 there were a lot of discussions whether Microsoft would include DRM, DirectX 10, and others, with. Service Pack 3 was suppose to arrive about the same time as Windows Vista, but none of these things is a concern for now though since Microsoft has chosen to postpone Service Pack 3 to the first quarter of 2008. Why we dont know, but most likely it’s becuase it wanted to really make sure Vista is ready when it is suppose to be and therefore chose to put SP3 aside for now.
