WD has expanded the stationary media player family with the TV Live HD Plus. The big news is that it supports streaming of video from Netflix, unlike the Plus models, and navigation of  DVD menus.

Unfortunately Netflix is only available in North America, which means that the DVD menu support is the only thing new for European users. But it shows that Western Digital is open to including more streaming services with its players.

As customary, WD TV Live HD Plus is capable of playing 1080p video and is otherwise identical to the older sibling WD TV Live HD. Let’s hope for more streaming services and support for these with our stationary media player.

Great article Andreas . For those who live outside US like me, you can access Netflix, Hulu and similar media stations on your WD TV by using UnoTelly or similar tools.
