Med plats för två stycken 3,5-tums hårddiskar har den senaste modellen en maximal lagringskapacitet på imponerande 4TB genom att använda sig av WDs senaste 2TB hårddiskar. Enheten använder sig av fyra olika datagränssnitt, eSATA, FireWire 800, FireWire 400 samt USB 2.0. Det och stöd för Apples Time Machine säkerhetskopieringsteknik gör att My Book är ett perfekt tillbehör speciellt för Mac-ägare, något även designen skvallrar om.
