Water cooling is certainly a more effective method than air cooling for cooling your computer components and even if the setup for using that kind of cooling is often the same you can use some odd components. This is certainly what a modder named Eric has done as he has now published an article about how he connected the water pipes from his outside pool to supply his computers with water. The goal was to create a more effective method for cooling several computers in the same room in a quiet and efficient way while the heat had to be transported out of the room. This would make it possible to save money on air conditioning and to top it all off heat the water of the pool.
What may sound like a crazy idea actually seems to work quite well, even if Eric hardly needs a radiator, considering the large water reservoir, the computers didn’t effect the water temperature noticeably. Anyway, the result is a the least to say odd water cooling project that shows what one can achieve just by using your imagination and show some spirit.
