VIA C7-M is another addition to the series of power efficient performance processor, or that is at least what VIA wants us to believe. VIA has as usual now problem with keeping the power consumption at an allt iem low but today you will need more than that. At Hardware Secrets they’ve taken a closer look at C7-M’s specifications and compared it with Intel Pentium M, which could be very fitting as they both use Socket 479. Even if C7-isn’t a direct competitor to Pentium M and Turion 64 in pure performance there are some very interesting aspects of VIA’s little guy.
