Turion 64 X2 will be the first processor by AMD that use dual processor cores and intended for the mobile market. A very important model for AMD as Intel has been plowing through the market with its Core Duo processor and its Centrino platform. However now it seems that AMD postpones the launch of Turion 64 X2 ’til June, the earlier launch date was suppose to be May 9. The delay was due to poor demand from the worldwide notebook market since Microsoft delayed Windows Vista a month ago. In other words we will have to wait for dual-core and 64-bit support with AMD’s mobile platform.
