AGP-videocards is hardly something to brag about these days, but as we have earlier reported, both ATI and NVIDIA are under pressure to release their latest series in AGP-versions. The reason is simple, a whole 55% of the retail market is still AGP-based and there’s a lot of money to gain, or to put it in an other way; lose, if you don’t mind the AGP-platform. Among PC-builders and OEM’s it’s completely different though, almost every computer built and sold through these companies are PCI-E-based. AGP will remain for a long while and luckily both ATI and NVIDIA has realised this as they both have launched high-performance cards for this platform lately.
