Killer NIC is a unique creation as it is a network card intended for gamers that wants an optimal ping and network performance when playing online and network games. What makes the card extra interesting is that Bigfoot Networks, which is the company behind the card, is trying to sell the card for $299. A rarely seen sum of money for what many consider just to be an optimized network card. But you should never judge a book by its cover, but when it comes to Killer NIC we haven’t even seen an actual card. Until now that is, as Legit Reviews has come across the first pictures of a Killer NIC prototype.
The rather massive heatsink is still being investigated, but considering that the final launch will happen in a few weeks one might wonder whether Bigfoot Networks will be able to stick to its launch plans. Anyhow, it is going to be interesting to see if the concept will hold up in real life.
