The director for Halo assigned?

Many games has had its rumour torn to pieces for the sake of the movie industry. The next will most likely be Doom, but as we’ve ealier reported Halo will also venture on into the movie business. We’ve known that Universal Studios and Twentieth Century Fox would produce the movie and now rumours have appeared that claims that the director would be none other that none other than the Lord Of The Rings-directo Peter Jackson would try to master Master Chief and his men. Other sources claimes he will ”only” be the Executive Producer. The special effects will be made by Weta, which also made the effects for the LOTR-movies, so perhaps we can hope for a good movie after all. You should of course consider this with a truckload of salt as most game movies has a tendency to be rather crappy.
