Tagan TurboJet TG-1100 is as far as we know the most powerful power supply on the retail market, this since the latest addition to the TurboJet series offers no less than 1100W. You may feel that it’s a bit over the top using a 1.1KW power supply for a computer and to most users it is. But the fact remains that we’re starting to close up on systems that actually demands more power than what the average PSUs of today can handle. We’ve seen tests with AMD’s Quad FX platform where the system consumes up to 600W, with just one graphics card. With two or even four power hungry graphics cards this figure will rise quite a lot.
Tagan TurboJet TG-1100 shouldn’t have any problems powering any desktop system you can find today but we can guarantee you that the number of people who actually needs this are very few. But then again, better safe than sorry. Well … that is if your wallet can handle it. TurboJet TG-1100 namely costs about $350.
