The PC market has not been very stable lately, but it still managed to grow 3.6% year.to.year in Q3. HP continues to be number one, but Lenovo climbed past Dell to second place.
The PC market continues to grow, despite the meager conditions in the world. One of the reasons is that there is more action in the developing countries, and that China has been very strong lately. In total 91.8 million PC shipped in Q3. We have reported that HP is rumored to sell or break off the PC division, even though it is the largest in the world and showed good numbers year-to-year.

HP shipped 5.6% more computers than last year, which keeps them at the top with 18.1% shares. In second place we have a change as Lenovo has moved up with a boost of 36.1% in just one year, which is enough to move past Dell. Lenovo gets 13.7% of the market, while Dell has dropped to third place with 12%.
Lenovo is the biggest winner with a massive incerase of 36.1%, followed by ASUS at 30.2%
Fourth we find Acer with 10% that dropped big from 13.1% year-to-year, and fifth comes ASUS that like Lenovo has seen a big boost. ASUS was up 30.2% and claims 6.5%, which was enough to get past Toshiba.
