Plextor is perhaps best known for its optical storage drives, but it has now unveiled a NAS (Network Attached Storage) with dual harddrive slots for up to 4TB of storage. Plextor PX-NAS2 is pretty slim (135.4 (B) x 120.3 (H) x 254.5 (D) mm) and supports regular 3.5″ SATA harddrives.

The two internal harddrive slots there are two USB 2.0 ports for additional storage, Gigabit Ethernet and an application for synchronizing and backup your information. Other features worth mentioning include RSS reader/server, BitTorrent client, USB printer sharing, iTunes server, UPnP and DLNA 1.5.

Like most NAS, Plextor will be shipping it barebone, but there is an option for dual 500GB and 1TB drives.Prices start at 200€ while the flagship with 2TB storage costs 400€.
