OCZ Technology has since the introduction of Solid State technology been spearheading the retail development. Now that the company has introduced its fiscal number for Q2 it shows an increase in SSD sales by 265%, but still an overall loss.

OCZ noted a loss of 7.6 million dollar in the fiscal quarter that ended on August 31st 2010, which is hardly satisfactory, but the monthly sales of SSDs increase in the same quarter from 15,000 units to  54,000 units in August, and increase by 265% and at the same time the company increased its earnings on the SSD market with 51% to 20.2 million dollar, from 13.3 million in Q1.

”We are pleased with the fast paced growth of both our client and enterprise SSD product lines, and the progress we have made in transitioning from unprofitable legacy commodity DRAM products.”

OCZ continues to venture further into SSD territory and has started cutting some of its own product lines to make the company more efficient. If this will be enough to turn loss into profit we will have to wait and see.
