Small preview imageWe have already reported about the new Sony PSP that will among others have an integrated storage. Then we had heard of the 8GB NAND flash memory, but according to other sources the first generation will only have 4GB of memory integrated. These sources also state that the next generation PSP will get an integrated digital video camera, that will make it possible for the user to stream live video from the PSP to the stationary PlayStation 3. This will be made possible through PSP’s WiFi support and is expected to become the new way for people to interact while chatting, but also travelling.

”The new PSP’s video streaming capabilities will be considered a must-have addition for Sony’s upcoming PS3 console. While details are obviously scant at this point, the source say the streaming will be made possible through the upcoming HUB PlayStation service, which will supposedly launch alongside the PS3 and compete directly with Microsoft’s Xbox Live service.”

The camera is suppose to be similar to the ones used by SonyEricsson’s mobile phones and will be able to handle both video and still pictures. How much truth there is in this statement is hard to say and exactly what will happen remains to be seen.
