Due to the somewhat prohibitive prices of Socket 939 chips and the percieved problems with Intel’s Prescott line, the primary AMD CPU being used on mid-range OEM computers is still the Socket A-based processor. Many manufacturers have recognized the platform as being both cheap, readily available, and easy to overclock. Epox combines all three in their new nForce 2 Ultra 400-based Motherboard, the 8RDA6+ PRO. With an onboard SATA controller, 7.1-channel onboard sound, and Firewire, this motherboard is not lacking at all in features.
