Passive cooling is something that is valued highly among noise fanatics, which is not just looking for quiet, but absolute silence. We have seen more and more passivily cooled power supplies and SilverStone raise the bar with the new Nightjar ST50NF at 500W.
SilverStone have had 300W and 400W models on the market and now it is time for the next step at 500W. The new ST50NF is part of the Nightjar series with 80Plus Bronze certification, which means at least 88% efficiency at 50% load.
Besides that the power supply applies to ATX 12 V2.3 and EPS 12V standards, has a single 12V rail and a non-modular cable design. The case is made from aluminum and will also work as a heatsink.
