Small preview imageSeagate has launched a new technology called Cypercapture which will improve performance with miniHDDs at 1″. The technology has been integrated into Seagate’s Compactvault series of detachable harddrive media. Compactvault uses Seagate’s CompactFlash Photo Hard Drive, which as expected is intended for use with digital cameras and digital video cameras. The technology will optimize the harddrives performance for faster Photography and make it possible to film in HD resolutions.

”By moving control of the file system from the consumer electronics device onto the hard disc drive itself, Cybercapture technology will allow an even higher recording rate of still pictures in multi-shot mode as well as higher quality recording of moving pictures, on a drive running in AV mode.”
