Seagate is yet another harddrive manufacturer that is going to develop network based storage solutions, also known as NAS (Network-Attached Storage). Seagate has namely announced it has purchased the company Mirra, which among other delivers software for handling external storage systemconnected to networks and small company networks. Seagate will use its knownledge in storage together with Mirra’s software to create its own digital storage systems to make it easier for users to to store information such as digital media through the network. We look forward to hearing more about these products soon.
