Sapphire has launched a new graphics card based on AMD Radeon HD 6950. Unlike its competitors Sapphire HD 6950 Flex Edition has more userfriendly support for Eyefinity. The GPU supports three monitors with regular DVI ouputs, or for that matter five connected monitors.

Sapphire HD 6950 Flex Edition comes with dual DVI outputs, a HDMI output and two mini-DisplayPort 1.2 outputs. The card has extra circuits for handling more monitors without active cable adapters, which makes it possible for the user to connecto two monitors to the DVI outputs and one to the HDMI output (HDMI to DVI-adapter included).

On regular Radeon HD 6000 graphics cards you need an active DisplayPort adapter for powering a third display. Sapphires Flex series makes use of active adapters and with two mini-DisplayPort cables you can connect two more displays in Eyefinity 5.

The card costs around $250.
