Samsung SyncMaster 225UW is a 22″ widescreen LCD monitor with a 1680×1050 pixel resolution. With a response time at 5ms (GtG) and a contrast ratio of 700:1 it may look like just any LCD monitor, but that’s far from the truth. Samsung has namely equipped the 225UW with a whole bunch of extra features to broaden its use. Samsung has set its sight on Microsoft’s unified communications solutions, which makes it possible to integrate several communication possibilities in one and the same device. Samsung has equipped its monitor with a 2.0Megapixel web camera for video communication and completed it with a microphone and speakers for audio communication.

Samsung SyncMaster 225UW is supposedly more of a business monitor, but we can’t deny the growing need for simple means of communication over the Internet. The integrated web camera and microphone will certainly save a lot of space, if nothing else.
