Well it’s been a while since we last posted an article here at NH, but don’t worry we’ve been stocking up and the first is actually the very first for the author to post here at NH as well.

Thomas Ohlsson is our new monitor writer at NordicHardware and he will serve you, our readers, with articles and reviews focusing on monitors. Exactly what you would like to see him review is up for suggestion at the moment. So if you have the time after reading Thomas’ first review here at NH don’t hesitate to write and tell us what you would like to see in the future.

First up for Thomas is an LCD-monitor, a logic pick as the monitormarket has been heading in that direction. The monitor comes the rather wellknown manufacturer Sony. Sony was for long one of the leading brands when it comes to the classic CRTs, but chose to retract a little when the ”new” LCD-technology made advances.
Sony hasn’t retracted completely, though but has been going a new direction with flat monitors instead and how well this new course has been plotted remains to see, but we intend to find out at least what this monitor has to offer.
We’ve tested an 19″ monitor from Sony that will catch your eye already from a distance as it has a truly innovative design, but how well will the monitor behave up close?

”LCD monitors are today more appealing than ever, mostly because the prices have gone down seriously, thus they are now able to compete with the CRT monitors for real. When you talk about the LCD monitors’ pros there are often words like nice design, not taking up much space and ergonomic that are mentioned.”
