R520 is a the least to say highly anticipated graphic circuit and now even more information has appeaed that really strengthens the idea of a launch during the third quarter of 2005. R520 and its sibblings, RV530, RV515 and RV505 will according to ATi be shipped in larger portions at the end of the third quarter. The circuits is made by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and uses 90nm technology but at the same time it seems ATI will need help by United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) to make the R516-circuit. R516 seems to be a low end circuit of the R520.
