Plextor has just launched the world’s smallest external DVD burner: PX-608CU. The burner uses the USB 2.0 interface to communicate with the computer and won’t need an external source of power. It measures only (WxDxH) 137,1mm, 143,1mm and 15,9mm and weighs only 250g. For once there is also support for the DVD-RAM format, for those who needs it. We’re not surprised that this burner doesn’t set any speed records, but then this is hardly the thought either: 4x DVD+/-R DL; 8x DVD+/-R; 8x DVD+RW; 6x DVD-RW and 5x DVD-RAM. A nice little thing that can really be called portable, separating it from many other burners.
