Socket M2 will be a very important platform for AMD as it is the first that will support DDR2. It will be the base for AMD’s entire processor assortment from the low to the high end processors. At an Italian site they’ve published some information about the coming M2 processors and the M2 socket, where it has taken photos of both socket and processors. They are not sure of when Socket M2 really will be presented as it recently was announced that the platform will be delayed until the second quarter of 2006. However it looks like we will able to see Socket M2 during CeBIT in March next year, which we are clearly looking forward to.
