Futuremark is behind most of the popular test suites fo PCs and the latest is system test PCMark 7. The Finnish company has now set the release date to May 4rd and started taking pre-order of the test suit that focus on stressing processor, memory and storage units.

PCMark 7 will be available in three versions; Basic Edition that is free to use. It only has the PCMark base test to run and limited numbers of stored results.

Then there is an Advanced Edition for the users that wants to store more results, get rid of the ads and get access to doing more system tests with individual load tests. PCMark 7 Advanced Edition costs 39.95 USD.

Futuremark also has a Professional Edition that is intended for businesses and system builders that wants to test or demonstrate their computers. This edition costs 995 USD and offers control through scripts and priority support.
