Palit recently announced the market first triple-slot graphics card based on Radeon HD 4870X2, and those of you who think two slots are too much even for high-end cards will certainly not be looking to get this one. However, over at TechPowerUp! they decided to see what hides beneath the surface of Palit’s monstrous graphics card that through its size not only houses a great and efficient cooler but also a heap of connectivity.

Even though the card looks like a beast it is not heavier than ATI’s Radeon HD 4870X2 reference card, but with a weight north of a kilo it is hardly the most convenient either. Palit seems to have done an overall good job with its new flagship and if you need a set of extra connections this might be a good alternative. The sizable cooler is efficient, both for overclocking and running at low noise levels.
