Microsoft’s Origami project caused quite a stir earlier this year as Microsoft chose to create a different kind of hype around the project. Sadly, it turned out that Origami was more or less just a reintroduction of the tabletPC, which had earlier been a flop. Origami was not well received, but Microsoft isn’t the company that gives up easily, no matter if its portable computers, media players or video game consoles. We’ve seen this many times. c|net now reports that Vistagami will come soon and it is nothing but an upgrade to Vista and a slightly improved hardware platform. Both VIA and Intel are both still interested in investing in the platform.
