Besides a fresh operating system with the controversial Metro interface we have a new kind of computers to expect with the launch of Windows 8. Microsoft has now revealed when Windows 8 and ARM version Windows RT will be available.

We can officially blow up the rumor mill grinding the launch date of the new operating system, since Microsoft for the first time has revealed details on the launch. Windows 8 will be ready and reach RTM status (Release to Manufacturing) first week of August, which means manufacturing partners and software developers will have access to the final version then.

Regular consumers will have to wait until the end of October, when Windows 8 will be available to the public. At the same time Windows RT with its ARM support will be released.
