OCZ Technology has gone from being a memory manufacturer to becoming one of the largest actors on the growing SSD market. The company impressed us with its SandForce based OCZ Vertex 3 SSD. The company has now announced a new milestone as it has shipped one million SSDs from factory.
OCZ has a strong presence in the retail segment with its Vertex and Agility SSD series, but the majority of the comapny revenue comes from the business market where the Deneva and Intrepid series are selling large volumes for use in storage systems and servers. The new HSDL (High-Speed Data Link) interface with 20 Gbps capacity also lures buyers from the attractive server market.

OCZ Technology recently acquired controller developer Indilinx for 32 million dollar and with its own controller technology the next million SSDs should be even faster to make – and ship.
