NVIDIA has released another mid-range graphics card. The company hasn’t made any fuss, but several partners have by sending out information on their new cards sporting the GeForce GT240 GPU. The cards use the GT215 chip, which is related to the performance models of the GeForce GTX family. Except from a more efficient 40nm process, they are also slower than the performance models.

NVIDIA GeForce GT240 ships with 96 shader processors along with 32 texture units and 550MHz GPU clock frequency. It will replace the oh-so-old 9600GSO/GT.

Just like the smaller siblings, G210 and GT220, it supports DirectX 10.1, and some models even have GDDR5 memory clocked at 3600MHz efficient clock frequency. Other versions of GeForce GT240 will ship with GDDR3 memory, either 512MB or 1GB capacity.

Multiple cards have been listed and with price tags around $75-100 depending on configuration. Below are some of them.
