For those of you that have already managed to get hold of a laptop with NVIDIA’s new GPU switching technology, we can report that NVIDIA now has released an updated driver that solves some of the incompatibility issues with Intel’s latest IGP driver.
Besides the fact that Optimus now works with Intel’s latest chipset driver that was released in March, the performance and functionality of Optimus has also been improved. Exactly how this has been done is somewhat unknown but the new 189.42 driver should be a given update for all Optimus users.
