NVIDIA G70 will make its first official appearance at Computex this week but so far speculations are roaming the web but some specifications seems to have leaked. At HardwareZone.com they’ve gotten their hands on nVidia’s latest creation and have posted several pictures of the card. They’ve chosen to focus on the power consumtion which is being solved with, except for the PCI Express interface 75W, with an extra connections for yet another 75W, I.e. a total of maximum 150W. Quite a lot even if we are considerably lower than the 225W rumours stated earlier.
It actually seems the card had taken damage from the heat created which really makes you wonder if the G70-circuit has some real issues. This is of course a fairly common problem with earlier testcards but its going to be quite interesting to see how it will manage to cool such a beast as this. Maybe Sapphire’s liquid metal cooling would be able to handle such heat.
