ASUS has been open with the need for more business and work-oriented notebooks. The latest to roll out of the business series is ASUS B53, based on Intel’s Calpella platform offering good performance, but also batteries with longer lifespan.

ASUS B53 uses Boston-Power’s Sonata lithium-ion batteries that according to the developer will keep 80% of the capacity even after three years, which is on average three times longer than competing batteries.

With a three year warranty you get a processor from Intel’s mobile Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 family and an integrated GPU or AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5670 for more demanding work. The computer can be equipped with up to 4GB RAM and 320GB storage, and AMD’s graphics circuit enables ATI Eyefinity over two extra displays.
