According to Tech Report nVidia hasn’t forgotten about the Athlon XP-users. A new version, nForce2 MCP, is coming soon and among others we find integrated SATA-RAID, Gigabit Ethernet and the new hardwarefirewall we first saw with nForce3 250.
Good news for those of you who can’t afford a Athlon 64 in other words. If the new chips will have any other performancerelated improvements are unknown. (It is most likely though that is just a another southbridge-upgrade.)
