Apple began its Intel-transition by launching the MacBook Pro and has since then completed with a row of new Macintosh computers, amongst others a smaller MacBook and last, but certainly not least Mac Pro. The two portable models are not based on Intel’s Core architecture though, but Pentium M (Yonah), the previous architecture. It now seems that Apple will upgrade its portable Macs if we are to believe Digitimes that reports that sources at both Asustek and Quanta, which manufacture Apple’s two laptops, indicate that new MacBooks are coming in September and then based on Intel’s new mobile processor Merom.
